George.jpg

george damms -

music

George has been playing guitar since he was 13, and has never had any formal training in music. His acoustic guitar is the most valuable thing he owns. His sound was influenced initially by the Folk Rock of Dylan and Springsteen, then later by the rhythms of Ben Howard and Hozier. George trained as an actor at drama school in north London and subsequently found work as an actor-musician, performing and devising with companies on their way to Fringe Venues in The UK and abroad. Above all, his greatest love is creating music that can underscore emotional, raw moments in a piece, without overwhelming the narrative.
